Connecting Picqer to your transport
Picqer runs your warehouse. We connect it to your TMS, your own fleet or a carrier that Picqer does not support as standard, so shipments and track & trace flow through automatically.

Picqer connected to the rest of your supply chain
Do you use Picqer, the Dutch WMS for e-commerce and wholesale? Picqer already does a lot as standard: it supports the major parcel carriers and dozens of webshops and accounting packages. We integrate what falls outside that, usually on the transport side.
Think of your own fleet planned in a TMS or route planner, a regional carrier or pallet carrier without a Picqer integration, or a logistics service provider that wants shipments from Picqer in its own TMS. That is where the manual work lies that Picqer itself does not solve.

What Picqer offers for an integration
An open REST API
Picqer has a well-documented API for orders, picklists, shipments, products, stock and returns. Every Picqer environment has its own address and its own API key.
Webhooks at every step
Picqer reports changes itself: a shipment has been created, a picklist has been closed, free stock has changed. So nothing needs to be polled.
Custom shipping methods
A carrier that Picqer does not know can still be connected as a shipping method. During packing, Picqer then requests a label from our integration, and the shipment is booked with the carrier straight away.
Fulfilment for 3PLs
If you are a logistics service provider using Picqer for several clients, an integration can be restricted per client, so each client only sees its own orders and stock.
What we connect to Picqer
- Shipments from Picqer into your TMS, so your planner can schedule them straight away. See also Smartroute for route planning.
- A carrier as a shipping method in Picqer, with the label and shipment number returned during packing.
- Track & trace back on the shipment in Picqer, so your customer service team and your webshop can see the status.
- Your clients’ orders into Picqer, when they do not come from a webshop but via EDI, API or a file.
- Stock to your clients’ systems, with every change in free stock.
What to plan for with Picqer
Every package has its own rules. These are the points that, with Picqer, make the difference between an integration that keeps running and one that stalls every now and then. We take them into account from day one.
A label within 20 seconds
When we connect a carrier as a shipping method, the label must be returned within 20 seconds, or Picqer rejects the shipment. A slower carrier is connected differently, and we add the shipment number afterwards.
Webhooks must respond quickly
A webhook must be answered within 10 seconds. If that fails five times within a day, Picqer disables it. We therefore process the message in the background and monitor that the webhook stays active.
No duplicate shipments
The Picqer API does not recognise repeated requests. If a request is resent after an outage, a second order or a second label may be created. Our integration guards against this itself.
Standard first, then custom-built
Before we build anything, we check whether Picqer can already do it as standard. Paying for a PostNL or DHL integration that Picqer already has is a waste of your money.
A wholesaler delivers with its own vans from Picqer
Take a wholesaler that picks in Picqer and delivers with its own vans. Every afternoon an export goes from Picqer to the planner, who copies the addresses into the route planning.
-
01
As soon as an order has been packed in Picqer, the webhook reports the new shipment. We fetch the address and package details.
-
02
The shipment arrives as an order in the TMS or route planner, with the correct delivery address, number of packages and weight.
-
03
After planning, the expected delivery time and the track & trace link go back to the shipment in Picqer, so the customer receives them in the shipping confirmation email.
No more afternoon export, and the customer can see when the order will arrive.

Picqer integration in brief
Doesn’t Picqer already integrate with carriers?
With the major parcel carriers, yes, and we use those integrations. We integrate what Picqer does not support as standard: your own transport, your TMS, or a regional or pallet carrier.
Do you need access to our Picqer account?
We need an API key that you create yourself in Picqer. You can revoke it at any time, and as a logistics service provider you can restrict it to a single client.
Does it also work if we have several warehouses?
Yes. For each shipment we know which warehouse it comes from, and we pass that on to the TMS or the carrier.
Who maintains the integration after go-live?
We do. We monitor the integration and the webhooks, so a disabled webhook never goes unnoticed.
