1. Who we are
Transportkoppeling.nl, a trading name of Arian Masselink BV, is the controller for the processing of personal data as described in this statement.

2. What data we process
We only process data that you provide to us yourself or that is technically necessary to deliver the website:
- Contact form: name, company name (optional), email address, phone number (optional), the system you use (optional) and your message. This data is stored in our database and delivered to us by email.
- Direct contact: data you share when you email or call us.
- Technical log data: our hosting provider briefly processes IP addresses in server logs for security and troubleshooting purposes.
3. Purposes and legal basis
We use this data to respond to your enquiry, to prepare an introductory call or a quote, and to provide our services. The legal basis for this is the performance of a contract or the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for security and relationship management, our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use your data for marketing, newsletters or profiling.
4. How long we keep data
- We keep submissions via the contact form for a maximum of 12 months after the last contact, unless they lead to an assignment.
- We keep data that forms part of our accounting records (such as quotes and invoices) for 7 years, in accordance with the Dutch statutory tax retention obligation.
5. Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We only share it with service providers acting as processors on our behalf — our hosting provider and email provider — with whom we conclude data processing agreements. All our hosting and data processing takes place entirely within the European Economic Area (EEA); your data is not stored or transferred outside Europe. Apart from this, we only disclose data where we are legally required to do so.
6. Cookies and statistics
This website only uses functional cookies that are technically necessary (such as a session cookie and a security cookie against form abuse). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. That is why no cookie banner is needed.
For visitor statistics we use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly service that does not place cookies and does not store personal data. Statistics are fully aggregated (such as numbers of visitors, pages visited and country of origin) and cannot be traced back to you as an individual. The data is processed within the EU.
7. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including an encrypted connection (TLS/HTTPS), restricted access to systems and keeping software up to date.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. Send your request to contact@transportkoppeling.nl; we will respond within one month. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
9. Changes
We may amend this privacy statement. The current version is always available on this page.
